Explore Revelstoke
Tucked alongside the Columbia River between the Monashee and Selkirk mountain ranges, Revelstoke is a year round destination,
and the Monashee Lodge is a great launching point to all of it!

Revelstoke Mountain Resort
Revelstoke Mountain Resort is located 8 km (3.5 miles) southeast of the Monashee Lodge. It offers world-class downhill, snowcat, helicopter skiing and snowboarding at one resort.

With a total of 1,713 metres (5,620 feet), RMR has the longest lift-serviced vertical descent in North America!

The gondola has been extended from the upper village to the village base, increasing the vertical by 885 feet from last year. A new high-speed quad chairlift in the North Bowl area will be running this ski season. Extensive glading and trail cutting throughout the resorts ski terrain has been implemented for this season.

For more infomation on this exciting skiing and snowboarding destination, please visit the Revelstoke Mountain Resort website.

Surrounded by mountains receiving upwards of 50 feet of powder snow every year, Revelstoke offers the best snowmobiling in Canada during a season beginning in late Fall and stretching into Spring.

The Monashee Lodge welcomes snowmobilers, and we have ample parking space for trailers and offer a drying room to have your gear ready for the next day.

For more information about sledding here in Revelstoke, try the Snowmobile Revelstoke Society website.

Natural National Parks
All year round, our guests will want to visit the nearby national and provincial parks.

Mount Revelstoke National Park, famous for its summer wildflowers and skiing history, is only a few minutes from the Monashee Lodge. Summer visitors will enjoy the hiking trails and parkway, while winter visitors might try cross country skiing instead.

Further east, Glacier National Park and Rogers Pass National Historic Site offer similar destinations for nature and history seekers.

Mountains and Rivers
Adventure seekers of a different breed will find our local rivers to be as exciting as our mountains!

Whitewater rafting is offered during summer months along the Illecillewaet river, which joins the Columbia at Revelstoke. This river runs alongside Mount Revelstoke National Park, and is as scenic as it is exciting!

For more information, please visit the Apex Raft Company website.

Revelstoke Aquatic Centre
Looking to soak and relax? This modern facility is a few minutes from the Monashee Lodge, and offers:
  • Salt water pools
  • Water slides and lazy river
  • Climbing wall
  • Hot tub
  • Sauna and steam room
For more information, please visit the Revelstoke Aquatic Centre website.

Golf Courses
Minutes from the Monashee Lodge is the Revelstoke Golf Club, which offers an 18 hole championship golf course laid alongside the Columbia River.

In 2011, a second course currently under construction will open to visitors, offering our summer visitors even more options.

The Monashee is pleased to be part of a Preferred Accommodations program, so if you stay with us, you'll save on green fees when visiting the local course!

Revelstoke is historic as well as scenic. On top of the historic buildings (such as our Courthouse, pictured to the left), Revelstoke has several local museums that offer a look into our town's history: Each of these museums are minutes from the Monashee, and are perfect for a day out and around town.

And More!
Biking trails, hot springs, and a variety of tours will round out any trip!
